Police is not only responsible for security, but it is the place you have to visit to obtain an ID card or passport. An application can be made through an online service or at a police station. Additional to the documents required photography is also needed. In some stations, there are photo booths where photos can be taken or if you prefer tête-à-tête appointment with the photographer, photos can be directly sent to police without need of a physical photo.

Applications for firearms permit, private sector security permit, lottery and money collection permit, permit for public meetings, events and demonstrations should be submitted to police as well.

Policija atbild ne vien par drošību, bet ir aģentūra, kas izsniedz identifikācijas kartes un pases. Pieteikuma veidlapu var aizpildīt policijas online pakalpojumos vai policijas iecirknī. Papildus dokumentiem, vajadzīga arī bilde. Dažos iecirkņos to iespējams uztaisīt fotokabīnē, bet ja priekšroku dod fotogrāfa fotografētām bildēm, tās automātiski tiks nosūtītas policijai dokumenta izgatavošanai.

Policijai adresētas iesniegumu veidlapas jāiesniedz arī gadījumos, ja vēlies iegūt ieroča atļauju, privātā sektora drošības atlauju, lotereju un vaūtas iekasēšanas atļauju, publisko pasākumu, notikumu vai demonstrāciju atļauju.
